This week, we were joined by special guest Cara Sandholdt of the Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing, UC Davis.
Cara gave her top tips for using 3D Anatomy to develop a curriculum to support small group laboratory sessions in a large clinical anatomy course. Cara mentioned her use of the available content on the platform, and how the Regional and Systemic anatomy Courses in particular were a great resource that helped her cut down prep time for her classes.
Cara shared with us how she uses Complete Anatomy in class to encourage clinical reasoning among her nursing and physician assistant students, and outlined educational scholarship endeavors to explore student experiences and perceptions of newly developed clinical anatomy curriculum.
Finally, we got a fascinating peek into her lab workbook, including some of her recent work on cranial nerves.
